MANAGEMENT OF TIME

     The misuse of time has become major problem, taken to be a minor problem in our present world. This minor taken problem has made many people to lose opportunities in life. I would like us to see this as a problem that can be solved.
Ways that time could be managed
  • Have  a time check.
  • Set a time limit.
  • Use software tools for time management.
  • Have a To-Do list.
  • Plan ahead.
  • Start with your most important tasks.
  • Delegate and outsource.
  • Focus on one task at a time.
  • Make some changes in your schedule.
  • Avoid perfection.

     Time waits for no man no matter who you are, or what position you hold, time will always be time and continue to go on without stopping.
     Even in the history of the world, either in historical records or in the Bible or in the Quran. If we notice that in the some parts of them we notice that they reference time.
     In the Bible we notice that the kind of time they used, was counted by hours. Either it was in the twelfth hour or ninth hour, time was still told.
     Today, I want us to keep reference of time, it's importance and benefits.

CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR

I didn't fully understand this phrase "be careful what you ask for" till it happened to me. Preparing for my SIWES (Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme), I wanted a good place. An environment where I could learn and grow not just work... I was so sure that was what I wanted. I applied to various offices, checked for placements online, made enquiries from family and friends, even wrote an exam (on top SIWES 😂) and sent a lot of mails.  I eventually got a call to resume work as I had been accepted. Getting there, I realized they didn't directly offer the service I wanted to gain practical experience in, but they offered something similar which is still a plus. Now, this is where it began. EXPOSURE CHANGES EXPECTATIONS

There are many things I've come to realize during the first half of this year, and I understand them much better because I've experienced them firsthand during my Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES). I remember there were many things that seemed very difficult, or almost impossible, when I was younger. Even from last year until now, my mindset has changed significantly. Not because those things have suddenly become easy, but because I'm currently in an environment where I see people strive for difficult things and eventually achieve them. They desire something, and they intentionally work towards it. I've heard some ladies say they wouldn't marry someone who lives in the same environment they grew up in because they don't want to raise their children there. THE SILENT COST OF ASSUMPTIONS

After my first SIWES presentation, I learnt a vital lesson: confirmation gives better confidence than standing to defend what you only assume. So here’s the tea. Two weeks before the SIWES interns had their presentations, we were given the opportunity to watch two NYSC interns present. It was beautiful and impactful. After the presentation, I requested the document format from my supervisor, and he sent it to me. About a week before our own presentation, the HR in charge of training sent a document format for us to use as a guideline. The format was completely different from what my supervisor had sent, but I brushed it aside. I mean… it didn’t look like what the corps members used for their presentation. The day of the presentation came, and I used the format my supervisor sent. I wasn’t the only one who made this mistake.
