ALCOHOLISM

Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging; and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise- Proverbs 20:1, KJV.

What is alcoholism? Alcoholism is a regular intake of alcoholic content. It is a deceiver according to the bible and we can see what the bible says. The bible says that whoever that is deceived by strong drink or wine is not wise. The wine mentioned here is referring to alcoholic drink and not fruit wine. Let us not use the bible as a cover up for alcoholism.

Now, the first question you need to ask yourself is why do you take alcohol? If you have asked yourself that question; good! If you're  a youth, and you're already into alcoholism; you need to ask yourself why you started it in the first place. If the reason you indulged in alcoholism is peer pressure, or you want to be accepted into a particular group; that is not right. If any of the reasons stated earlier motivated you to indulge in alcoholism, then be sure that you have chosen the wrong set of friends.

If the other reasons you are into alcoholism is because you see other people or your parents doing it, that doesn't give you any meaningful reason to get indulged in alcoholism. Using alcohol for pleasure is not right, because after the alcohol clears away from your eyes, you are back to your problems or in some cases bigger problems.

Bigger problems like if alcohol causes you to bash another driver's car, when you come back to your senses, you will have to pay the price and suffer the consequences.

If your question is, 'can I come out of alcoholism?' Yes you can by the power of the Holy Ghost and Christ in you. Also, your determination to stop would go a long way because the spirit of God will not force you to do what you have not made up your mind to do.

If there is no gain to point at for indulging in alcoholism, there is no need to do it all.

BLOG UPDATE

Hey guys, I’m back and glory be to God. For today, I will not be speaking on anything in particular. Starting my blog, I did not have a specific field of interest to discuss with my audience but as time went by, I observed that many people of my age have interest in Information Communication Technology (ICT) but does not have the proper training or guidance to help them translate their desire into reality. This inspired me to be of help to people of my age, the elderly and the young to assist them in bringing their hopes and dreams alive; and on this note, I’m going to make this blog an ICT and technological inclined blog. Thank you.                 Please share your ideas in the comment section on what area of ICT your interest lies. This is going to be our first tech based interaction and it is going to form the essential core of engagement on this platform going forward. First, in my own perspective...

BENEFITS OF GARLIC

There are various benefits of garlic, which some will be listed here: 1. Boost immunity:  In test tubes,  garlic  appears to kill cancer cells, and studies involving people show some of the same outcomes. According to the Iowa Women’s Health Study, involving 41,000 middle-aged women, those who routinely ate garlic, fruits and vegetables had a 35 percent lower colon cancer risk. Benefits came from raw and cooked garlic – not supplements. 2. Work as an anti-inflammatory:  Research  has shown that garlic oil works as an anti-inflammatory. So, if you have sore and inflamed joints or muscles, rub them with the oil. 3. Improve cardiovascular health:  The verdict is still out on whether garlic improves your cholesterol levels, but research does indicate it can have a positive impact on your arteries and  blood pressure . Investigators believe red blood cells turn the sulfur in garlic into hydrogen sulfide gas that expands our blood vessels, making ...
