HOW TO SPEND YOUR LOCK DOWN WISELY.

How To Make The Most Of Time Spent Social Distancing

The corona virus pandemic has held almost the whole world to a standstill; almost shutting down most physical meetings. This has seriously affected businesses, especially places of worship and educational institutions which are still not allowed to resume operation in almost every country of the world.
In a way, the corona virus pandemic brought a twist of opportunities, because time that never seems to be enough is now filled with boredom as a result of inactivity and lack of engagement. To this end it becomes important that we can be accountable for every minute at our disposal.

WAYS TO SPEND YOUR LOCK DOWN WISELY
1.Engage yourself in educational activities..
The lock down has had a serious effect on schools and educational institutions; if we were to wait for schools to resume, a lot of time would have been wasted and when schools resume, there will not be enough time to cover up for all the topics which would have a serious impact on the student.
2. Take online courses related to your field.
Technology has made things easier nowadays. Instead of sitting in halls attending, seminars, exhibitions and symposium, technology has made those things easier. So, instead of staying at home all day, you can occupy yourself with courses that relate to your field to broaden your knowledge in that area.
3. Pursue your passion.
For those that haven't set their hearts on what career to pursue in the future, you can also invest your time in your passion. If you have the passion for singing, dancing, playing football, cooking and other areas. This is a time to lay a good foundation for your future.

The lock down has it's advantages and disadvantages, we should not only look at the disadvantages but we should also look at the ways the lock down could benefit us in our different ways and in our daily lives.

Thank you and see you next week Thursday.

BLOG UPDATE

Starting my blog, I did not have a specific field of interest to discuss with my audience but as time went by, I observed that many people of my age have interest in Information Communication Technology (ICT) but does not have the proper training or guidance to help them translate their desire into reality. This inspired me to be of help to people of my age, the elderly and the young to assist them in bringing their hopes and dreams alive; and on this note, I’m going to make this blog an ICT and technological inclined blog. Thank you.                 Please share your ideas in the comment section on what area of ICT your interest lies. This is going to be our first tech based interaction and it is going to form the essential core of engagement on this platform going forward. First, in my own perspective...

BENEFITS OF GARLIC

There are various benefits of garlic, which some will be listed here: 1. Boost immunity:  In test tubes,  garlic  appears to kill cancer cells, and studies involving people show some of the same outcomes. According to the Iowa Women’s Health Study, involving 41,000 middle-aged women, those who routinely ate garlic, fruits and vegetables had a 35 percent lower colon cancer risk. Benefits came from raw and cooked garlic – not supplements. 2. Work as an anti-inflammatory:  Research  has shown that garlic oil works as an anti-inflammatory. So, if you have sore and inflamed joints or muscles, rub them with the oil. 3. Improve cardiovascular health:  The verdict is still out on whether garlic improves your cholesterol levels, but research does indicate it can have a positive impact on your arteries and  blood pressure . Investigators believe red blood cells turn the sulfur in garlic into hydrogen sulfide gas that expands our blood vessels, making ...
