These days, the internet has been abused wrongly by so many people especially our youths and teenagers who see the internet as a means of corruption and immorality. The main thing people don't know is the essence of internet and it's meaning.
Internet is a computer system that allows millions of computer users around the world to exchange information. LONGMAN DICTIONARY.
As we can see from the definition above that the internet is used to exchange information. What some people use the internet to do is:
1. To watch pornography.
2. To hack accounts.
3. To steal people's money etc.
Of all these things that have been listed here, if you're someone that engages in one or two or maybe everything perhaps even more. I can assure you that after you must have done these things you end up gaining nothing and wasting your precious time which you could have used to do something tangible or something that could change your life forever.
If you use the internet to:
1. Watch pornography: You're only destroying your future. Because I don't think there's anyway you'll watch pornography and not want to put it to practice. Even if it's against your will you'll have the urge to do it and when you do, there are lot of consequences. As a teenager, I would try my best to abstain from it and cut my friendship with anyone that will want me to engage in sex.
2. Hack accounts: Gaining access into other people's private information or accounts unlawfully. In most cases these information are used wrongly or to misrepresent the original account holders. From the legal point of view, this is criminality and could send the practitioner to years behind bars resulting in wasted years in prison.
3. Steal people's money: It is a very bad thing to do. The money someone has worked for, toiled day and night for then some one who doesn't know where the money was gotten, then comes to steal it, automatically a curse has been placed on your. The money you stole, will finish sooner than you expected and will have no value.
Now we can see that when we use the internet wrongly, we don't benefit anything, instead we just waste time and resources which could've been useful to you and others. From now on I hope that we'll learn to use the internet wisely and well.
