DO YOU HAVE A PLAN FOR THIS YEAR?

Planning is the process of thinking about the activities required to achieve a desired goal. It is the first and foremost activity to achieve desired results. WIKIPEDIA.

Good day everyone, I want to talk on planning this week, because it is a new year and for a new year we need a new plan. If I may ask, what are your plans for this year? do you plan to achieve something by the end of this year or before the end of this year? If we do not make plans, we may not be able to use what are in our hands well without a proper plan.

Below are quotes on planning:

1. "By failing to prepare you are preparing to fail".

                                                                                                                        Benjamin Franklin.

2. "Without leaps of imagination or dreaming we lose the excitement of possibilities. dreaming after all is a form of planning".

                                                                                                                        Gloria Steinem.

3. "Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe".

                                                                                                                        Abraham Lincoln.

4. "Someone's sitting under in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago".

                                                                                                                        Warren Buffett.

Benjamin Franklin stated that 'By failing to prepare you are preparing to fail'. When you do not plan, you should not expect God to send His angels to answer you simply because you have prayed. The best of prayers may not deliver result when we fail to do our part. There are things God will not do. One of them is doing for us what we should do for ourselves. James 2:17 even made us to understand that "Faith without works is dead".

Abraham Lincoln also stated that 'Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe'. This quote really marveled me because I thought that spending the first four hours to chop down the tree might be a waste, but it just occurred to me what the meaning was. The amount of time you  spend and the effort you put into planning will no doubt increase your efficiency and helps you achieve your goals faster.

However, we should be careful not to fall into the trap of 'analysis paralysis'. Many think they are planning but are not. Planning should not necessarily take the whole time but doing due diligence on steps to take towards achieving your goal. You may only need to plan for the take off of a project while the larger picture begins to manifest later. Waiting and planning for resources to complete a mega project could be the fall of the project before it starts at all. What I am saying is ensure your planning can initiate your dream while you trust God for expansion. Planning for something very big when resources are not available would be the killer of your dream.
I want us to spend this week creating a solid plan for this year and when you plan do not forget to work towards them. With these steps, before the end of this year we shall count our successes.

Thank you and see you next week Thursday.

BLOG UPDATE

Hey guys, I’m back and glory be to God. For today, I will not be speaking on anything in particular. Starting my blog, I did not have a specific field of interest to discuss with my audience but as time went by, I observed that many people of my age have interest in Information Communication Technology (ICT) but does not have the proper training or guidance to help them translate their desire into reality. This inspired me to be of help to people of my age, the elderly and the young to assist them in bringing their hopes and dreams alive; and on this note, I’m going to make this blog an ICT and technological inclined blog. Thank you.                 Please share your ideas in the comment section on what area of ICT your interest lies. This is going to be our first tech based interaction and it is going to form the essential core of engagement on this platform going forward. First, in my own perspective...

BENEFITS OF GARLIC

There are various benefits of garlic, which some will be listed here: 1. Boost immunity:  In test tubes,  garlic  appears to kill cancer cells, and studies involving people show some of the same outcomes. According to the Iowa Women’s Health Study, involving 41,000 middle-aged women, those who routinely ate garlic, fruits and vegetables had a 35 percent lower colon cancer risk. Benefits came from raw and cooked garlic – not supplements. 2. Work as an anti-inflammatory:  Research  has shown that garlic oil works as an anti-inflammatory. So, if you have sore and inflamed joints or muscles, rub them with the oil. 3. Improve cardiovascular health:  The verdict is still out on whether garlic improves your cholesterol levels, but research does indicate it can have a positive impact on your arteries and  blood pressure . Investigators believe red blood cells turn the sulfur in garlic into hydrogen sulfide gas that expands our blood vessels, making ...

LETTING GO

Happy new year everyone. I hope this write up adds to us in this new year. According to the vocapture dictionary, an habit is an action performed repeatedly and automatically usually without awareness. I would say that an habit is an action that is cultivate gradually. As human beings, we can discern from what is right and wrong. With this ability to discern, we choose to cultivate either good or bad habits. The cultivation of these habits will determine if the products will ad to your life positively or negatively and this is where our inner man comes to play and directs our actions. It is left to us to pick an action between what is wrong and what is right. The cultivation of bad habits often leads to grevious consequences. I want to point out something here; the cultivation of bad habit is easy but turning a new leaf is going to be difficult and if not careful, it could develop into an addiction> In some cases, their addiction leaves a stigma in their lives forever. To all those ...
